Isolated dorsal dislocation of the radial head: a rare phenomenon

Radial head dislocations usually occur in combination with ulna fractures (Monteggia fracture). Dislocation of the radial head is to anterior, lateral or posterior. However, dislocations may be isolated lesions; usually in children betwen 2-7 years of age with an anterior dislocation of the radial head.  We present a rare case of an isolated posterior radial head dislocation in an adult.
